To edit analog data point settings (channel, scaling & alarms, and isolation device) ˆtop of pageˆ
- Click the Settings tab if it is not visible.
- Click Channel In Use on the Analog Channel tab to activate the data point for service.
- Type a description in the Engineering Units field that identifies the data point's unit of measurement.
- Click Save to save settings or Reset to cancel changes and return to the last, saved settings.
- Click the Scaling & Alarms tab.
- Click the arrow in the Input Voltage Card field and select the type of voltage card installed in the analog input channel of the ICP.
- Scale the data point by entering a value in the Raw Input High and Raw Input Low fields. Entered values should be within the voltage range of the voltage card selected in the Input Voltage Card field.
- If the analog measurement reading requires scaling (adjusting), complete the following steps:
- Type a multiplier value in the Calibration field.
- Type a value in the Offset field. This value either adds to or subtracts from the measurement reading.
- Scale the sensor of the asset by entering a value in the Engineering Units Max and Engineering Units Min fields. Entered values should be within the voltage range supported by the asset.
- If you want an alert sent when the analog channel is out of limits, follow these steps:
- Click Analog Channel alarm enabled on RMU.
- If you want an alert sent when a high alarm condition occurs, type a value in the High Alarm field. When the measurement reading is higher than the entered value, an alert is sent.
- If you want an alert sent when a low alarm condition occurs, type a value in the Low Alarm field. When the measurement reading is lower than the entered value, an alert is sent.
- Click Save to save changes or Reset to cancel changes and return to the last, saved setting.
- Click the Isolation device tab. If the analog channel is routed through the isolation device, click the check box to place a check mark inside the check box.
