Use the Settings tab in Unit Admin to set up ICP+ units, including settings for reports, battery and power, and interruption. Refer to the list of Related Topics for more information on setting up unit information, alerts, location, journal, and templates.
To display the navigation pane or Settings tabs in Unit Admin:
- Click All Units in Unit System Status.
- Select a unit in the Unit column of All Units View to display Unit Detail.
- Click Settings or the pencil icon to display Unit Admin.
- The Settings tab displays. Click tab to access unit settings.

Time and Reports tab:ˆtop of pageˆ
- Report Enabled: Enables reports on interval level.
- Report Interval (min): Sets how often a measurement report is sent if interval reporting is enabled. Time is in minutes.
- Send report on specific days: Enables reporting on specific days, which are defined in the fields below.
- Day of the Month (1): The day of the month that the report will be sent. One of four options. Number must be between 1 and 31; 0 indicates no date.
- Day of the Month (2): The day of the month that the report will be sent. One of four options. Number must be between 1 and 31; 0 indicates no date.
- Day of the Month (3): The day of the month that the report will be sent. One of four options. Number must be between 1 and 31; 0 indicates no date.
- Day of the Month (4): The day of the month that the report will be sent. One of four options. Number must be between 1 and 31; 0 indicates no date.
- Report Time (UTC): Indicates the time of day that the report will be sent. Time is the same for all days indicated. Time is in UTC. See Naval Oceanography Portal for more information on UTC.
Measurement Settings tab:ˆtop of pageˆ
- Check Interval (min): Sets how often the inputs will be polled or scanned. Value can be from 0-1000 minutes.
- Digital Persistence (min): Sets how long before an alarm is sent from a digital channel. Value can be from 0-1000 minutes.
- Persistence (min): Sets how long before an alarm is sent from an analog channel. Value can be from 0-1000 minutes.
Power and AC tab:ˆtop of pageˆ
- Battery Alarm at: Sets level at which the battery will alarm. Value can be from 6-16 volts (recommended range is between 10-15 volts).
- Power Persistence (min): Controls the persistence for the battery and power outage sense. Value can be from 0-1000 minutes.
- Aux box should be powered: Enables/disables power to I/O box.
Interruption tab:ˆtop of pageˆ
- Interrupter Installed: Check box to indicate that there is an interrupter installed.
- Post Analog Values when Interrupting: Enables or disables the unit from posting values to the website when the unit is interrupting.
- Program 1-4: Text boxes for informational purposes only.
- Interrupter Serial Number: Interrupter's serial number.
- Interrupter version: Interrupter's software version number.
- Interruption check interval (min): Sets how often the ICP+ communicates with interrupter for its status. Value can be from 0-6000 minutes.
- Analog Channel for Interruption verify: Sets the analog channel used for interruption.
- Normally Open Switch set: Specifies whether or not a normally open switch is used on the interrupter.
- Daily Mode Enabled: Enables/disables daily mode interruption. Interrupter is in standby mode during inactive times.
- Daily Mode Resume Hour: Sets the hour when the unit will resume normal interruption (using time zone specified in MyProfile).
- Daily Mode Suspend Hour: Sets the hour when the unit will suspend normal interruption (using time zone specified in MyProfile).
The hour specified in Daily Mode Resume Hour and Daily Mode Suspend Hour will change with Daylight Savings Time if Observe Daylight Savings Time is selected in My Profile.
- Inst. Off Ch1 Enabled: Enables/disables instant off for the channel.
- Inst. Off Ch2 Enabled: Enables/disables instant off for the channel.
- Inst. Off Ch3 Enabled: Enables/disables instant off for the channel.
- Inst. Off Ch4 Enabled: Enables/disables instant off for the channel.
- Delay(ms): Delay in milliseconds between the trigger of the instant off and the measurement. Value is between 10 and 2200ms, in increments of 10ms.
- Default Interruption Program: Specifies the default interruption program used if interruption is not in progress at the time of an Instant Off read. Value is 1-4.
- Instant Off Schedule: Specifies the schedule used for Instant Off measurements.
- Start Instant Off at: Specifies the time when the Instant Off starts. Not required, but should be set for settings where this setting is relevant. Current time is saved even if this field is not used.
- Delay time before I/Off Measurement: The time (in minutes) before the Instant Off measurement process begins. May be used for multiple interrupting units.
