Contact Groups

A Contact Group is a list of users to be notified when an alert occurs; it is similar to a distribution list. Each user must be set up with a contact method in Client Profile or My Profile prior to creating a Contact Group.

 

To access Contact Groups, click Admin > Contact Groups and then perform any of the following procedures:

 

To create a new contact group ˆtop of pageˆ

  1. Click the add icon (+) in Contact Groups to display the New Contact Group dialog box.
  2. Type a name for the new contact group in the Name field.
  3. If you want to cancel changes before saving, click the close icon (x).
  4. Click Save to save changes and then click the close icon (x) to close the dialog box.
  5. If you want to add a client contact, follow these steps:
    1. Click Add Client Contact.
    2. Click Contact Types and select Email, Phone, Text, Fax, FTP, or Numeric Page.
    3. Click Contacts and select a contact method for the client already setup in Client Profile.
    4. Click Add to add the client contact or click the close icon (x) to cancel changes.
  6. If you want to add a user contact, follow these steps:
    1. Click Add User Contact.
    2. Click Users and select a user name from the list.
    3. Click Contact Types and select Email, Phone, Text, Fax, FTP, or Numeric Page.
    4. Click Contacts and select a contact method for the user already setup in My Profile.
    5. Click Add to add the user contact or click the close icon (x) to cancel changes.

 

To change the name of a contact group ˆtop of pageˆ

  1. Select the contact group in the Contact Groups list. The name of the selected contact group displays in the field beside the button labeled Save Contact Group Name.
  2. Type a new name for the contact group in the Name field and then click Save Contact Group Name.

 

To disable or enable a contact group ˆtop of pageˆ

  1. Select the contact group in the Contact Groups list. The name of the selected contact group displays in the field beside the button labeled Save Contact Group Name.
  2. Type a new name for the contact group in the Name field and then click Save Contact Group Name.

 

To delete a user in a contact group ˆtop of pageˆ

  1. Select the contact group in the Contact Groups list. The name of the selected contact group displays in the field beside the button labeled Save Contact Group Name.
  2. Locate the user's Contact Name in the list and then click the delete icon () associated with the Contact Name.
