This topic describes how to set up interruption for the RM4100 Series units, including the RM4150 and RM4151. Refer to the list of Related Topics for information on other unit configuration tasks.

 

To access the interruption settings for an RM4100 Series unit:

  1. Hover your mouse over Units and then select Unit Admin.
  2. Click the unit group name.
  3. Click Units & Sub-Groups.
  4. Click the unit name.
  5. Click Interruption.
  6. - OR -
    1. Search for a unit in the Quick Unit Search text box on any page.
    2. Click Settings icon () next to the unit name.
You can also access the Unit Admin page by clicking the Settings link from Unit Detail.

 

The Unit Admin pages include links (breadcrumbs) back to the main Unit Admin page (Home) in the header bar.

 

To enable Post Analog Values When Interruptingspaceˆtop of pageˆ

  1. Click the arrow in the Post Analog Values When Interrupting field and select Enable.
  2. Click Save to save settings or Cancel.
  3. Click Refresh to update page.

 

To edit Interrupter Modespaceˆtop of pageˆ

  1. Click the arrow in the Interrupter Mode field and select a mode.
  2. If you selected Daily interrupter mode, enter a Start Time and a Stop Time:
    1. Enter a time in the text field. For example, typing a 2 will display 2:00 AM. Time defaults to AM. To change to PM, click on AM and type a P.
    2. To change hour or minutes, click on the number and type over with new time.
  3. If you selected Start/Stop interrupter mode:
    1. In the Start Date and Stop Date drop down fields, select a date to start and stop the interruption.
    2. Enter a Start Time and a Stop Time:
      1. Enter a time in the text field. For example, typing a 2 will display 2:00 AM. Time defaults to AM. To change to PM, click on AM and type a P.
      2. To change hour or minutes, click on the number and type over with new time.
    Continuous and Always Off modes do not have any additional settings under Interruption Settings.
  4. Click Save to save settings or Cancel.
  5. Click Refresh to update page.

 

To set up interrupter on/off timesspaceˆtop of pageˆ

On/Off Times can be set in 0.1 second increments, with the minimum cycle or period time being 0.2 seconds (on for 0.1 second/off for 0.1 second).

 

  1. Enter the number of seconds in the On Time field to specify the amount of time current is switched on. You can also click the up or down arrow to increase or decrease the number of seconds.
  2. Enter the number of seconds in the Off Time field to specify the amount of time current is switched off. You can also click the up or down arrow to increase or decrease the number of seconds.
  3. Click Save to save settings or Cancel.
  4. Click Refresh to update page.

 

To set up output and synchronizationspaceˆtop of pageˆ

  1. Output Mode: If using a normally closed relay, click Normally Closed. If using a normally open relay instead, click Normally Open.
  2. Sync Mode: If the interruption should start with the off cycle, click the option Off/On. If the interruption should start with the on cycle instead, click the option On/Off.
  3. Click Save to save settings or Cancel.
  4. Click Refresh to update page.

 

To set up Interference Modespaceˆtop of pageˆ

  1. Select either Disabled or Enabled.
  2. Click Save to save settings or Cancel.
  3. Click Refresh to update page.
