RSS
Modified on 04/20/2012 11:02 by linda Categorized as Units

For units that support two-way communication (such as the RM4010, ICP, ICP+, INT250, and INT300) use Send Commands from the Units menu to send or schedule a command to a unit or group of units, or edit or delete a scheduled command. Commands can also be sent or scheduled by using the Commands icon (command icon) in Unit Detail or All Units.

The procedures below explain how to perform the following tasks:

To send a command now or to schedule a command to be sent later using Send Commands ˆtop of pageˆ

  1. Hover the mouse over Units in the main menu and then click Send Commands.
  2. Click the Send Commands tab.
At any time, you can click the refresh icon () to see the latest unit information.
  3. Under Command, click the Select button to select the command to send.
A list of commands and the type of unit that the command can be sent to will display.
  4. Select a command from the list.
The Units navigation window updates. Only the unit groups or units that can receive the type of command that you selected will display in the Units navigation window.
  5. Select a unit or a group of units from the Units navigation window:
    1. Click the check box beside a unit group if you want to select all units in the unit group.
    2. If you want to select one or more units in a unit group, click the open icon (+) of the unit group and then click the check box beside one or more units in the unit group.
    3. You can select units from different groups. You must select at least one unit.
  6. In Schedule Details, select either Send Now or Send Later by clicking the radio button next to the option.
  7. If you selected Send Later, select the date and time to send the command. Click the arrow next to the date or time fields to change default settings.
  8. Add notes, if applicable, in the Notes text field.
  9. Click Save.
  10. If a unit or units have an issue, such as not installed, a warning window will display. You will have the option to send the command to all the units (including the ones with the issue), send the command to only the units that do not have an issue, or cancel the send command. If you select to send the command, the Send Commands page closes, and the Schedule tab displays. From this tab, you can edit or delete the sent commands.

To edit or delete a scheduled command using Send Commands ˆtop of pageˆ

  1. Hover the mouse over Units in the main menu and then click Send Commands.
At any time, you can click the refresh icon () to see the latest unit information.
  2. To edit a scheduled command, click the pencil icon associated with the scheduled command.
  3. Make changes as desired.
  4. Click Save.

Information about the scheduled command is updated on the Schedule tab.

  5. To delete a scheduled command shown in the Scheduled tab, click the delete icon () associated with the scheduled command. The delete icon is available only for commands that are scheduled but have not been sent.
  6. In the verification window, click Yes to cancel the scheduled command or No to leave the command scheduled.

The Status of the deleted scheduled command is updated to Cancelled in the table.
