Unit Detail

The Unit Detail page provides detailed status and identification information for a single unit. Unit information includes Status, ID, Last Health/Alarm/Event Packet, Last Power on Reset (POR)/Startup Packet, and map location. A Notes text box is also available for additional unit notes.

 

Other information and functions available on the Unit Detail page include:

 

  • Current Data tab: view current operating and data point status, channel measurements, and an activity log in a graph format.
  • Activity tab: view a 30-day activity log of incoming packets, outgoing packets, alerts, and notifications in a graph format.
  • Alerts tab: view and export a detailed list of Alerts and Notifications. Export data in Excel or CSV format.
  • Incoming Packets tab: view and export a detailed list of incoming packets. Export data in Excel or CSV format.
    For the Last POR/Startup Packet detail listed with the other unit details, most units will show a Power On Reset under Packet Type. Only the RM4010 will show a Startup packet. See the Glossary for more information.
  • Outgoing Packets tab: view and export a detailed list of outgoing packets. Export data in Excel or CSV format.
  • Run Time tab: set up Run Time and view a detailed Run Time log. Export data in Excel or CSV format.
  • Journal tab: view and add unit journal entries.
  • Export Data: export data in Microsoft® Excel® or CSV (comma separated value) format. Data available for export includes: Alerts, Incoming Packets, Outgoing Packets, and Run Time.
  • Settings: click the Settings link to display Unit Admin.

 

Several methods are available for displaying Unit Detail. The most common method is to select a unit from the All Units landing page (hover the mouse over the Units main menu, select All Units). The procedures below explain how to display Unit Detail from other landing pages (refer to My Profile for instructions on how to set up your landing page):

 

 

To display Unit Detail from the Unit System Status page: ˆtop of pageˆ

  1. If the unit you want to view is listed in the Current Alerts table on Unit System Status:
    1. Select the unit in the Unit column of the Current Alerts table to display a map bubble in Unit Map.
    2. Click Details or the gear icon in the map bubble.
  2. If you want to view a unit listed in All Units:
    1. Click All Units.
    2. Select a unit listed in the Unit column.
  3. If you want to view a unit based on a status category listed on the Unit System Status page:
    1. Click a status category such as In Alarm, Normal, or Not Reporting.
    2. Click the open icon (+) for a unit group and then select a unit.
    3. Click Details or the gear icon in the map bubble.

 

To display Unit Detail from the Unit Monitor page: ˆtop of pageˆ

  1. If Unit Monitor is set up in map view, click a unit icon and then Details in the map bubble.
  2. If Unit Monitor is set up in table or history view, select a unit in the Unit column.

 

To display Unit Detail from the Detailed Unit Status page: ˆtop of pageˆ

  1. Select a unit in the Unit column of Unit Detail or from the Current Alerts table. Unit details display in the Unit Detail area.
  2. Click the gear icon or Details to display the Unit Details page.
