RM4010: Unit Settings Overview

Use the Settings tab in Unit Admin to set up RM4010 units, including interruption. Refer to the list of Related Topics for more information.

 

To display the navigation pane or Settings tabs in Unit Admin:

  1. Click All Units in Unit System Status.
  2. Select a unit in the Unit column of All Units View to display Unit Detail.
  3. Click Settings or the pencil icon to display Unit Admin.
  4. The Settings tab displays. Click tab to access unit settings.

 



The Settings tab includes the following tabs: ˆtop of pageˆ

 

General tab:ˆtop of pageˆ

  • AC Fails (min): Sets how long (in minutes) that the unit will wait before sending a notification that the power is out (when not interrupting). Value can be from 5 - 1440 minutes.
  • AC Restored (min): Sets how long (in minutes) that the unit will wait before sending a notification that the power has been restored (when not interrupting). Value can be from 5 - 1440 minutes.
  • AC Fails During Interruption (min): Sets how long (in minutes) that the unit will wait before sending a notification that the power is out (during interrupting). Value can be from 5 - 1440 minutes.
  • AC Restored During Interruption (min): Sets how long (in minutes) that the unit will wait before sending a notification that the power has been restored (during interrupting). Value can be from 5 - 1440 minutes.
  • Transmission Repeat Interval: Sets the amount of time between transmissions.
  • Transmit Time: Sets the time of day when transmissions are sent.
  • Local time is set in Unit Admin > Info tab in the Local Time Zone field. The Time Zone specified on the Info tab affects the Transmit Time, as well as Start Time and Stop Time (see below). You can also enable Observe Daylight Savings time in this tab.
  • Interrupter Enabled: Denotes whether or not an interrupter is enabled on the unit (not editable).
  • Send Settings: Send settings to the unit.

Interruption tab:ˆtop of pageˆ

  • Post Analog Values when Interrupting: Enables or disables the unit from posting values to the website when the unit is interrupting.
  • Always Off: When enabled, the RM4010 will switch the relay driver to turn off a rectifier's output. Also, while enabled, this setting disables all interruption settings except Post Analog Values when Interrupting, Always Off, and Output.
  • Interrupter Mode: Sets the type of interruption mode for the unit. The following options are available for selection:
    • Off: Interruption is turned off.
    • Daily: Interruption is done daily. Time is set with the Start Time and Stop Time fields.
    • Start/Stop: Interruption is done based on settings in the Start Date, Stop Date, Start Time, and Stop Time fields.
    • Continuous: Interruption is done on a continuous basis.
  • Start Date: Sets the date that interruption will begin if Start/Stop is selected in the Interrupter Mode field.
  • Stop Date: Sets the date that interruption will stop if Start/Stop is selected in the Interrupter Mode field.
  • Start Time: Sets the time of day when interruption will begin if Daily is selected in the Interrupter Mode field.
  • Stop Time: Sets the time of day when interruption will end if Daily is selected in the Interrupter Mode field.
  • On Time in Seconds: Sets the amount of time (in seconds) that the interrupter is on.
  • Off Time in Seconds: Sets the amount of time (in seconds) that the interrupter is off.
  • Output: Sets the output of the interrupter in one of the following ways:
    • Normally Closed
    • Normally Open
  • Synchronize: Sets the synchronization mode of the interrupter in one of the following ways:
    • Off/On
    • On/Off
  • Interference Mode Enabled: Enables or disables interference mode.
  • # of Units: Total number of units interrupting when in interference mode.
  • Unit Number: Denotes the unit's number in relation to total units in the chain.
  • Delay Between Units: The amount of time (in seconds) for delay (off time).
  • Send Settings: Send settings to the unit.
