Use the Settings tab in Unit Admin to set up ICP units, including settings for reports, battery and power, and interruption. Refer to the list of Related Topics for more information on setting up unit information, alerts, location, journal, and templates.
To display the navigation pane or Settings tabs in Unit Admin:
- Click All Units in Unit System Status.
- Select a unit in the Unit column of All Units View to display Unit Detail.
- Click Settings or the pencil icon to display Unit Admin.
- The Settings tab displays. Click tab to access unit settings.

Time and Reports tab:ˆtop of pageˆ
- Interval Reports: Enables interval reports. If enabled, only interval reports will be sent; day of the month reports will be disabled.
- Report Interval (hours): Sets how often a measurement report is sent if interval reporting is enabled. Time is in hours. Enter zero (0) for day of the month reports.
- Health Check Frequency (Hours): Sets how often the ICP should send a health check status to the website account. Health check includes the status of all analog and digital channels, as well as the general system status. Enter zero (0) to disable.
Measurement Settings tab:ˆtop of pageˆ
- Show advanced settings: Shows or hides the settings fields under Isolation Device.
- Check Interval (min): Sets the amount of time (in minutes) between analog checks. Value must be 1 or greater.
- Number of double checks: Sets the number of double checks performed for alarm verification. Value must be 2 or greater.
- Double check frequency (min): Sets the amount of time (in minutes) between double checks. Value can be either 0 or 1-65535 minutes.
- Digital Persistence (min): Sets the amount of time (in minutes) for digital channel persistence. Value can be from 0-255 minutes.
- Isolation device closed after each measurement: Sets the amount of time (in minutes) that the isolation device will be closed after each measurement. Value can be from 0 - 127 minutes.
- Isolation device confirm channel: Sets the channel that is used to monitor whether the isolation device is closed. Options include Channel 1 - 6 or Not Used. Select Not Used if an isolation device is not used on this unit.
- Isolation device control: Sets the channel used to control the isolation device. Options include Channel 1 - 6 or Not Used. Select Not Used if an isolation device is not used on this unit.
- Isolation open confirm: Sets the channel that is used to confirm that the isolation device is open. Options include Channel 1 - 6 or Not Used. Select Not Used if an isolation device is not used on this unit.
- Isolation device timeout(s): Sets the time (in seconds) before isolation device close is unsuccessful. Value can be 0-255 seconds; default is 20 seconds.
Power and AC tab:ˆtop of pageˆ
- Advanced options: Shows or hides settings fields under Power Saving Options.
- Charge percentage failure: Sets the percentage of previous battery voltage during charging that is considered a charging failure. Value can be from 1 - 99 percent.
- Alarm enabled on RMU: Enables or disables an alarm for Charge percentage failure.
- Battery High Voltage: Sets the high voltage level at which the unit will send an alarm. Value must be less than 15 and higher than the low level.
- Low battery voltage: Sets the low voltage level at which the unit will send an alarm. Value must be greater than 10 and less than the high level.
- AC present persistence (min): Sets how long (in minutes) that AC power is absent before unit is considered to have an AC outage. Value can be 0 - 255 minutes.
- Analog channel used for outage detection: Selects the analog channel that is used for the AC Present sensor. Options include Channel 1 - 5 or Not Used. Select Not Used if an analog channel is not used for AC Present sensor.
- Digital channel used: Selects the digital channel that is used for the AC Present sensor. Options include Channel 1 - 6 or Not Used. Select Not Used if a digital channel is not used for AC Present sensor.
- Battery check interval when battery low: Specifies the time (in seconds) between successive battery checks when unit is in shutdown mode. Value must be between 60 - 65000 seconds.
- Loop time: Specifies the time (in seconds) between successive loops of the third party program. Default is 60 seconds. Value can be between 60 - 65000 seconds.
- Resume Hour: Specifies the time of day (hour) when the unit begins listening for commands and taking reports. Value can be between 0 - 24.
- Suspend hour: Specifies the time of day (hour) when the unit suspends listening for commands and taking reports. Value can be between 0 - 24.
Interruption tab:ˆtop of pageˆ
- Interrupter Installed: Indicates whether or not an interrupter is installed.
- Post Analog Values when Interrupting: Enables or disables the unit from posting values to the website when the unit is interrupting.
- Program 1-4: Text boxes for informational purposes only.
- Serial Number: Interrupter's serial number.
- Interrupter version: Interrupter's software version number.
- Analog Channel: Sets the analog channel used for interruption verification. Options include Channel 1 - 6 or Not Used. Select Not Used if an analog channel is not used for interruption verification.
- Interruption powered: Indicates whether or not the interrupter is powered separately from the hardware. Should be set by a support specialist.
- Instant Off Schedule: Specifies the days of a month when Instant Off will be scheduled. The following options are available for selection:
- 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th
- 5th, 10th, 15th, 25th, 30th
- 1st and 14th
- Odd days
- Even days
- Not Used
- Every day
- Instant off start time: Specifies the time of day when Instant Off will be scheduled during the days selected in Instant Off Schedule. Options are from 00:00 to 23:00.
- Delay(ms): Delay (in milliseconds) between the trigger of the Instant Off and the measurement. Value is between 10 and 2200 milliseconds, in increments of 10 milliseconds.
- Interruption Program: Specifies the interruption program used if interruption is not in progress.
- Analog 1 - 5: Enables/disables Instant Off for the channel selected.
- Mask Interruption Alarms (on unit): Enables/disables interruption failure notification from unit.
