ICP+: How to Set Up Unit Settings

Use the procedures below to create or edit settings on ICP+ units, including reports, battery and power, and interruption. Refer to the list of Related Topics for more information on setting up unit information, alerts, location, journal, and templates.

To display the navigation pane or Settings tabs in Unit Admin:

  1. Click All Units in Unit System Status.
  2. Select a unit in the Unit column of All Units View to display Unit Detail.
  3. Click Settings or the pencil icon to display Unit Admin.
  4. The Settings tab displays. Click tab to access unit settings.

 

Perform any of the following tasks for an ICP+ unit in the Time and Reports tab in the Settings tab on Unit Admin:

To enable or disable interval reports ˆtop of pageˆ

  1. To enable reports, click the Report Enabled check box to add a check mark to the box.
  2. To disable reports, click the Report Enabled check box to remove the check mark from the box.
  3. Click Save to save settings.

 

To set report interval time ˆtop of pageˆ

  1. Type a number in the Report Interval (min) field to set how often the interval report will be sent (in minutes).
  2. Type a zero (0) in the Report Interval (min) field to disable interval reports.
  3. Click Save to save settings.

 

To enable or disable reports on specific days ˆtop of pageˆ

  1. To send reports on specific days, click the Send report on specific days check box to add a check mark to the box.
  2. To disable sending reports on specific days, click the Send report on specific days check box to remove the check mark from the box.
  3. Click Save to save settings.

 

To designate specific days for reports ˆtop of pageˆ

  1. Type a number corresponding to the day of the month when you want reports to be sent in the Day of the Month (1) field.
  2. Repeat for other days of the month in Day of the Month (2) - (4) fields.
  3. Click Save to save settings.

 

To set the time when the report will be sent on specific days ˆtop of pageˆ

  1. Select a time from the list in the Report Time (UTC) field.
  2. Click Save to save settings.

 

To set the time that controls how often the inputs will be polled or scanned ˆtop of pageˆ

  1. Type the number of minutes, up to 1000, in the Check Interval (min) field.
  2. Click Save to save settings.

 

To set the time for digital channel persistence ˆtop of pageˆ

  1. Type the number of minutes, up to 1000, in the Digital Persistence (min) field.
  2. Click Save to save settings.

 

To set the time for analog channel persistence ˆtop of pageˆ

  1. Type the number of minutes, up to 1000, in the Persistence (min) field.
  2. Click Save to save settings.

 

To set the voltage level at which the battery will alarm ˆtop of pageˆ

  1. Type the number of volts, between 6 - 16 (in Volts), in the Battery Alarm at field.
  2. Click Save to save settings.

 

To set the time for battery and power outage persistence ˆtop of pageˆ

  1. Type the number of minutes, up to 1000, in the Power Persistence (min) field.
  2. Click Save to save settings.

 

To mark whether the optional I/O add-on box should be powered ˆtop of pageˆ

  1. If the optional I/O add-on box should be powered, click the Aux box should be powered check box to add a check mark to the box.
  2. If the optional I/O add-on box should not be powered, click the Aux box should be powered check box to remove the check mark from the box.
  3. Click Save to save settings.

 

To set whether an interrupter is installed ˆtop of pageˆ

  1. If an interrupter is installed, click the Interrupter Installed check box to add a check mark to the box.
  2. If there is not an interrupter installed, click the Interrupter Installed check box to remove the check mark from the box.
  3. Click Save to save settings.

 

To enable/disable posting analog values when interrupting ˆtop of pageˆ

  1. To enable posting, click the Post Analog Values when Interrupting check box to add a check mark to the check box.
  2. To disable posting, click the Post Analog Values when Interrupting check box to remove the check mark from the check box.
  3. Click Save to save settings or Reset to cancel changes and return to the last, saved setting.

 

To add program information ˆtop of pageˆ

  1. Type information about Program 1 in the Interrupter Installed field.
  2. Repeat for Programs 2-4.
  3. Click Save to save settings.

 

To add interrupter's serial number ˆtop of pageˆ

  1. Type the interrupter's serial number in the Interrupter Serial Number field.
  2. Click Save to save settings.

 

To add the interrupter's software version number ˆtop of pageˆ

  1. Type the interrupter's software version number in the Interrupter version field.
  2. Click Save to save settings.

 

To set how often the ICP+ communicates with interrupter for its status ˆtop of pageˆ

  1. Type the number of minutes in the Interruption check interval (min) field.
  2. Click Save to save settings.

 

To set the analog channel used to verify interruption ˆtop of pageˆ

  1. Select the channel from the list in the Analog Channel for Interruption verify field.
  2. Click Save to save settings.

 

To specify whether a normally open switch is used on the interrupter ˆtop of pageˆ

  1. If a normally open switch is used on the interrupter, click the Normally Open Switch set check box to add a check mark to the box.
  2. If a normally open switch is not used on the interrupter, click the Normally Open Switch set check box to remove the check mark from the box.
  3. Click Save to save settings.

 

To set the hour when the unit will resume normal interruption ˆtop of pageˆ

  1. Type the hour in the Daily Mode Resume Hour field.
  2. Click Save to save settings.

 

To set the hour when the unit will suspend normal interruption ˆtop of pageˆ

  1. Type the hour in the Daily Mode Resume Hour field.
  2. Click Save to save settings.

 

To enable or disable instant off for channels 1-4 ˆtop of pageˆ

  1. Click the Inst. Off Ch1 Enabled check box to add a check mark to the box and enable channel 1.
  2. Click the Inst. Off Ch2 Enabled check box to add a check mark to the box and enable channel 2.
  3. Click the Inst. Off Ch3 Enabled check box to add a check mark to the box and enable channel 3.
  4. Click the Inst. Off Ch4 Enabled check box to add a check mark to the box and enable channel 4.
  5. To disable any channel, click the check box to remove the check mark from the box.
  6. Click Save to save settings.

 

To set the delay between the trigger of instant off and the measurement ˆtop of pageˆ

  1. Type the number of milliseconds in the Delay (ms) field.
  2. Click Save to save settings.

 

To specify the default interruption program ˆtop of pageˆ

  1. Type the number of the default interruption program in the Default Interruption Program field.
  2. Click Save to save settings.

 

To specify the schedule used for instant off measurement ˆtop of pageˆ

  1. Select the schedule from the list in the Instant Off Schedule field.
  2. Click Save to save settings.

 

To specify the time when instant off starts ˆtop of pageˆ

  1. Select the hour and minutes from the lists in the Start Instant Off at field.
  2. Click Save to save settings.

 

To set the time before the instant off measurement process begins ˆtop of pageˆ

  1. Type the number of minutes in the Delay time before I/Off Measurement field.
  2. Click Save to save settings.
