All Units

You can view, create, edit, delete, or export a custom view for the All Units page, which can include any detail or data column of your choosing. The All Units page is available under Units > All Units.

 

Activity alerts (over, under, and no activity) and data alerts (channels) are highlighted in yellow. The highlights are retained when the information is exported to an Excel file.


On the All Units page, you can perform any of the following:

 

To view a saved All Units view:ˆtop of pageˆ

  1. Select All Units from the Units menu.
  2. Select a saved view from the list of options in the View field.

 

To filter the units by group or status on the All Units page:ˆtop of pageˆ

  1. Select All Units from the Units menu.
  2. To filter by group, select a group from the list of options in the Group field.
  3. To filter by status, select a status from the list of options in the Status field.

 

To create a new All Units view:ˆtop of pageˆ

  1. Select All Units from the Units menu.
  2. Next to the View field, click the add icon (+) to open the Custom View window.
  3. Type a name for the new view in the Name field.
  4. Add or remove Detail and Data columns, rearrange the order of the columns, or rename columns.
  5. Click Save to save the view or Cancel to close the Custom View window without saving the view.

 

To add a detail column to an All Units view:ˆtop of pageˆ

  1. Select All Units from the Units menu.
  2. Next to the View field, click either the add icon (+) for a new view or the pencil icon for a saved view to open the Custom View window.
  3. Click the Detail Columns tab.
  4. Select a Detail Column on the left.
  5. To see highlighted activity alerts, select Last Packet from the list of Detail Columns.
  6. Click the right arrow to add the column to the view. You can also double-click the column name to add it to the view.
  7. To select more than one column at a time, hold the shift key while clicking on a column name to select a list of columns, or hold the Ctrl key to select columns one at a time.
  8. Click Save to save the view or Cancel to cancel and return to the All Units page.

 

To add a data column to an All Units view:ˆtop of pageˆ

  1. Select All Units from the Units menu.
  2. Next to the View field, click either the add icon (+) for a new view or the pencil icon for a saved view to open the Custom View window.
  3. Click the Data Columns tab.
  4. A column glossary is available on the Data Columns tab. Click Column Glossary to open the glossary in a new window.
  5. Select a Data Column on the left. You can add up to 10 columns.
  6. To see highlighted data alerts, select the channel names from the list of Data Columns.
  7. Click the right arrow to add the column to the view. You can also double-click the column name to add it to the view.
  8. To select more than one column at a time, hold the shift key while clicking on a column name to select a list of columns, or hold the Ctrl key to select columns one at a time.
  9. Click Save to save changes or Cancel to cancel changes and return to the All Units page.

 

To edit a saved All Units view:ˆtop of pageˆ

  1. Select All Units from the Units menu.
  2. Next to the View field, click the pencil icon to open the Custom View window.
  3. To remove a column from the view:
    1. Select a column name on the right side of the Custom View window.
    2. Click the left arrow to remove the column from the view.
    3. Click Save to save changes or Cancel to cancel changes and return to the All Units page.
  4. To change the order of the columns in the view:
    1. Select a column on the right side of the Custom View window.
    2. Click the up or down arrows to move the column either up or down in order.
    3. Click Save to save changes or Cancel to cancel changes and return to the All Units page.
  5. To rename a column heading in the view:
    1. In the Header field, highlight the name of the column.
    2. Type a new name in the Header field for the column.
    3. Click Save to save changes or Cancel to cancel changes and return to the All Units page.

 

To delete a saved All Units view:ˆtop of pageˆ

  1. Select All Units from the Units menu.
  2. Next to the View field, click the pencil icon to open the Custom View window.
  3. Click Delete.
  4. Click OK to complete the delete or click Cancel to cancel and return to the Custom View window.

 

To export an All Units view:ˆtop of pageˆ

  1. Select All Units from the Units menu.
  2. Click the Excel icon to export unit information shown in the current view as an Excel (.xls) file.
  3. Or, click the CSV icon to export unit information shown in the current view as a comma separated value (.csv) file.
