After adding a new asset group, set up user and user group security rights for the new asset group using the following steps:
- Click Assets > Asset Admin.
- Select an asset group in the Assets navigation pane.
- If you want to change the name of the asset group, type a name in the Name field and then click the save icon (diskette).
- Click the arrow in the Add User or Add User Group field and select a user or user group.
- Click the following check boxes to assign security rights as required:
- View: can view but not edit asset group settings.
- Admin: can view and edit asset group setting.
A security right is assigned or enabled when a check mark displays inside the View or Admin check box. To unassign or disable a security right, click the check box again to remove the check mark.
